04.03.2010

On 2 March, Georgian, de facto Abkhaz, Russian and EUMM representatives attended the 13th Incident Prevention Mechanism meeting in Gali, under the auspices of the UN.

In an engaged and constructive dialogue, participants exchanged and clarified information on recent incidents as well as discussed freedom of movement related issues, with an emphasis on facilitating the crossing of the Administrative Boundary Line by the local population.

Other issues addressed, included improving the use of the “hotline”, which constitutes a useful way of sharing operational information, especially in dealing with incidents and  tackling criminal activities.
