The Prime Minister of Poland meets the EUMM Deputy Head of Mission and Polish members of the Mission

On 11 March, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, Donald Tusk, accompanied by a large delegation from the Polish Government, met with the Deputy Head of Mission General Gilles Janvier as well as with the Polish monitors and other staff members of the EU Monitoring Mission in Georgia.

The meeting was held in the framework of the visit by the Polish Prime Minister to Georgia and to other countries of the South Caucasus region.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister of Poland was briefed by the Deputy Head of Mission General Gilles Janvier on the role and work of EUMM, and the achievements and future challenges of the Mission.

The Prime Minister, Donald Tusk, expressed his gratitude to the Mission for its contribution to building greater stability and security in the region. He also took the opportunity to talk to the Polish monitors and supporting Mission staff members about their experiences while working with the Mission, and to thank all of them for their efforts.

The Polish contribution to the EU Monitoring Mission in Georgia is 24 personnel members, the fourth largest contributor.
