A delegation from the Danish Foreign Ministry’s Peace and Stability Response visited the EU Monitoring Mission between 23-27 July. The delegation received a briefing on the role and work of the Mission and visited the Field Offices of Zugdidi and Mtskheta. They also had the opportunity to go on patrols to Odzisi and Tsilkani, and visit the Enguri Bridge. The purpose of the trip was to obtain a better understanding of how the mission works, and to see for themselves the work of the monitors on the ground. After their visit the delegation said that they had gained a much better perspective of these issues.
