Gerard A. Fischer, the Deputy Head of Mission welcomed the distinguished guests who were briefed about the current operational environment of EUMM. Current political developments relevant for the Mission, freedom of movement for local population, including schoolchildren and security implications during agricultural works along the Administrative Boundary Lines were highlighted.
The important role of the Mission in contributing to security on the ground was underscored. The ministers expressed their appreciation for the efforts and achievements of the Mission.
