"The EU Monitoring Mission is doing a valuable job on the ground to maintain stability in the region", British Ambassador Judith Gough said whilst visiting Field Office Mtskheta on 18 October. The Ambassador received a comprehensive introduction on the area of responsibility of Field Office Mtskheta, including a detailed report on the teams and their activities. The situation of the settlements and collective centres for Internally Displaced Persons was also discussed during the meeting. The Ambassador stressed that the EUMM is a demonstration of the European Unions commitment to peace and security.
