On 10 December, on the occasion of the International Human Rights Day and at the end of the 2012 “Say NO to Violence against Women and Girls" campaign, EUMM Field Office Mtskheta organised a conference at the local public library. The event was attended by representatives from local authorities, including police and the municipal health centre, local NGOs and womens organisations. The chairperson of the Womens Police Association of the Mtskheta-Mtianeti region, a member of the board of the NGO "Article 42 of the Constitution" and the director of the womens organization "TASO Foundation" gave presentations on gender based violence from different perspectives. Video clips were shown to illustrate the global character of the issue of and to provide inspiration for community action to combat and prevent gender based violence.
