Round table discussion to assess security situation

On 13 February EUMM hosted representatives of Embassies of EU Member States accredited in Tbilisi. At the round table discussion participants assessed the current security situation in the region and the changing environment the Mission is working in. Recent activities and challenges were also overviewed. The Mission’s contribution to stabilisation and normalisation was praised and its efforts in confidence building were appreciated. It was agreed that EUMM shall continue its operationally impartial monitoring activities to further facilitate security on the ground, especially along the Administrative Boundary Lines.
