On 6 and 7 March, Marko Mäntylä, a diplomat at the Finnish Embassy to Georgia and Medea Turashvili from International Crisis Group visited EUMM Field Office Gori.
Hans Schneider, the Field Office Chief gave briefings about the general work of the Mission on the ground and the current security situation along the Administrative Boundary Line (ABL) to South Ossetia. He explained that monitors patrol day and night, seven days a week to ensure there is no return to hostilities and to report on any incidents. The visitors were interested in the livelihood of the local population and joined EUMM patrols to the ABL.
