On 30 April a delegation of members of the Danish Parliament visited the EU Monitoring Mission in Georgia. They were welcomed at the Headquarters in Tbilisi by Ambassador Andrzej Tyszkiewicz, Head of Mission, and Gerard A. Fischer, Deputy Head of Mission. The MPs were given a briefing about the activities of the Mission, recent achievements and challenges, as well as the overall security situation in Georgia. The visitors were especially interested in issues related to the freedom of movement of the local population near the Administrative Boundary Lines and the future perspectives for EUMM. The delegation then visited Field Office Gori and joined an EUMM patrol to obtain first-hand experience on the ground.
