On 20 May the Fourth School of the Gori Municipality invited EUMM Field Office Gori to attend an “open class” on European Affairs.
The class took place within the framework of Europe day celebrations and gathered 25 students from the 10th grade, who answered questions related to the history of European integration, the geography of the European Union and other issues related to the economic development of the Union.
To conclude the class, students projected a presentation with pictures of EUMM on patrol along the Administrative Boundary Lines (ABL) and answered questions related to EUMM’s mandate.
Field Office Gori’s Human Security Team participated actively in the “open class”, interacting with students and emphasizing the crucial role of education and the importance of “diversity”, which is at the core of the European Union’s values.
