EU Monitoring Mission Georgia observes a one-minute silence in commemoration of victims of Barcelona and Cambrils

A minute of silence was observed by EUMM staff for the victims of Thursday’s deadly attack that occurred in Spanish towns of Barcelona and Cambrils, at 14:00,  on Friday, August 18.

The Mission members expressed condolences, paid tribute and solidarity with the families of the victims. 

The silence was also marked across the Mission Field Offices, where flags will fly at half-mast until Monday morning.

The EU, the European External Action Service and other Common Security and Defence Policy Missions also commemorated the tragic event.
