Head of Mission delivers a public lecture at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University and speaks with Adjara TV and Radio

06.11.2018
On 2 November, the Head of the EU Monitoring Mission (EUMM) Mr. Erik Høeg, visited Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University and delivered a public lecture on the Mission’s work, its achievements and related current challenges as it just marked its 10th year of deployment in Georgia. Students and academics attended the lecture.

The presentation was followed by a Q&A session, where students showed great interest in the Mission’s operated Hotline and the challenges faced by the EUMM in carrying out its mandate.

Local TV, including Adjara TV of Georgian Public Broadcaster, covered the public lecture and conducted a short interview available here

Radio Adjara also interviewed the Head of Mission for the programme titled "Competent Answer”. Journalist Maya Varshanidze hosted the programme and discussions ensued on the priorities and challenges of the EUMM.

The initiatives are part of the new communication strategy of the EUMM which aims at better informing people in the whole of Georgia about the mandate and activities of the Mission.
