The EU Monitoring Mission welcomes the prompt release of a child, following the activation of the Hotline in the evening of 22 August. The six year old boy was held after he crossed the Administrative Boundary Line to South Ossetia near Tsinagari.
The child, who is with relatives now, was together with three adults that are still in custody in Tskhinvali. In order to prevent unnecessary detentions, EUMM continues to facilitate dialogue between the sides.
