School presentation about children’s rights

14.06.2012
The EUMM Field Office Gori has delivered a presentation about children’s rights to pupils of a school in Zerti, a village close to the South Ossetian Administrative Boundary Line (ABL).  Around 100 pupils from the second to the fifth grade attended the presentation designed especially for children and teenagers. The presentation was connected to the International Children’s Day that is celebrated every year on the first of June and was extremely well received by the children.  The EUMM Field Office Gori is regularly visiting schools along the ABL to South Ossetia and is delivering presentations about the EUMM work on the ground in Georgia and human security issues. As EUMM is not a humanitarian organization and cannot provide any aid the information gathered during daily patrolling is passed to organisations who may be able to provide assistance.
