EUMM Photo Exhibition opens in Gori

On 19th October the EUMM Photo Exhibition “Life along the line – portraits from the ABL” opened in a newly renovated venue in the reconstructed Old City of Gori. This follows the successful display of the photos taken by  EUMM monitor Ray Cooper in Tbilisi and Mtskheta. The EUMM field office in Gori  initiated the idea of taking professional pictures of people going about their daily lives along the Administrative Boundary Line with South Ossetia and is currently hosting the impressive exhibition of 43 selected photos. The exhibition was opened by the EUMM Field Office Chief Manfred Meyer, together with invited guests and EU monitors. During the first day the exhibition was open to the public 115 visitors came to see the pictures. They show the human face of the area in which the EUMM is patrolling every day and night. Entry is free and the exhibition will be open until Sunday 28th of October every day from 12.00 to 18:00. So do come along!
