On 2 November, following its great success in Tbilisi, Mtskheta and Gori in recent weeks, the EUMM photo exhibition “Life along the Line- portraits of the ABL” opened at the Zugdidi Art Gallery. It will remain open to the public until Sunday 11th November. The Governor of the Zugdidi Municipality together with other local government officials, NGO and media representatives attended the opening ceremony. Jack Stevnsborg, Acting Chief of the EUMM Field Office in Zugdidi, welcomed the guests and explained the background to the exhibition of photographs taken by Ray Cooper, an EUMM monitor from Field Office Gori. Jack Stevnsborg also briefly highlighted how the EUMM contributes to the security of those living along the ABL through the daily presence of its Monitors. Media representatives from the Regional TV Radio Company “Odishi”, Internet News “Pressa.Ge” and Radio “Atinati” interviewed Ray Cooper and Jack Stevnsborg about the exhibition. The guests said they were very impressed by the photos on display.
