On 20-21 June a delegation of the German Foreign Office, the Centre for International Peace Operations, the Federal Police and the Police Academy visited EUMM.
At the Headquarters in Tbilisi they were welcomed by Gerard A. Fischer, Deputy Head of Mission, and received a comprehensive briefing about the mandate, activities and challenges of the Mission.
At Field Office Mtskheta the visitors were briefed about the area of responsibility, the current security situation on the ground, including freedom of movement issues. The German delegation then took part in a patrol to the Administrative Boundary Line where they could directly observe the situation.
