The European Days celebrations in Tbilisi on Sunday 8 May attracted thousands of interested visitors. Rike Park, in the city center, was dressed for the occasion, hosting the Eurovillage and welcoming large crowds of visitors. Stands from 17 European countries and many European organizations and institutions offered a taste of Europe accompanied by various performances by Georgian students and children.
In particular, the EUMM patrol and their 4x4 vehicles was a great success amongst by families with children. EUMM monitors demonstrated their monitoring equipment and explained about their jobs monitoring the Administrative Boundary Line (ABL). The Europe Day events in Tbilisi continued during the evening, where Georgian Eurovision stars Nino Sublatti and Eldrine delivered a lively and energetic performance.
