EUMM Special Prize for Peace Journalism – Signing of MoUs

27.07.2016
EUMM Press and Public Information Unit attended a signing ceremony of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with IWPR and key partner organisations on Monday, July 25.

According to EUMM’s and the Institute for War and Peace Reporting (IWPR)s activity plan for the EUMM Special Prize for Peace Journalism, MoUs are signed with reliable and authoritative media organizations, which have wide media networks. These are: the Georgian Association of Regional Broadcasters (GARB), Georgian Association of Regional Media (GRMA) and Georgian Charter of Journalistic Ethics (GCHJE).

 These partners will help the Peace Prize project by doing the following:

- Promote The Special Prize through its media networks in Georgia;
- Encourage conflict sensitive reporting and submissions before November 2016;
- Republish and post project-related print, audio and video materials to its online and print publishing resources;
- Contribute to drafting educational materials and ensure their distribution in and through its media networks;
- Provide maximum involvement of its network members/representatives in prize-related activities.
