The EU Monitoring Mission expresses its concern regarding a further violent act in Gali, which has cost the lives of two policemen and one civilian in a shooting incident on 28 May.
The EUMM stands ready to assist in anyway necessary, including the deployment of a fact finding team.
Such violent acts are unacceptable and can only destabilise the situation. The EUMM calls for restraint so that the local population in the Gali region can safely go about their daily lives.
