The EU Monitoring Mission welcomes the level of cooperation that has been shown by all sides following the sensitive shooting incident near Karzmani/Perevi on 29 September 2012 and the subsequent detention of a Georgian police officer across the Administrative Boundary Line. His handover by the Russian Federation Border Guards on 1 October brought a swift resolution of the situation.
