The Head of Mission for the EU Monitoring Mission in
Georgia, Mr. Erik Høeg, met with the Minister of Defence, H.E. Mr. Levan Izoria, and First
Deputy Minister of Defence, Ms. Lela Chikovani, at the Georgia Ministry of Defence,
on 26 January 2017.
Mr. Høeg thanked the Minister for the open and efficient functional
cooperation, and smooth exchange of information that exists between his
Ministry and the Mission. Mr. Høeg welcomed the continuing full compliance of
the Georgian armed forces with the Six Point Agreement.
The Minister underlined the importance of the Mission in
maintaining stability in the region and updated Mr. Høeg on recent military
reforms in Georgia.
