Mr. Høeg described the present mandate and activities of the EU Monitoring Mission in Georgia, stressing that the Mission’s operational impartiality is key to maintaining the trust and confidence of the international community in the information, which it provides.
Ms. Katsarava thanked Mr. Høeg for the Mission’s presence, highlighting its important role in maintaining stability and citing the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism in Ergneti as an example of practical action to this end.
Ms. Katsarava and Mr. Høeg also discussed the activities of the Foreign Relations Committee relating to conflict issues.
