The Head of Mission for the EU Monitoring Mission (EUMM) in Georgia, Mr. Erik Høeg, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Mr. Mikheil Janelidze, at the Georgia Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on 6 February 2018.
H.E. Mr. Janelidze congratulated Mr. Høeg on his new position and thanked him for the ongoing work of the Mission.
Mr. Høeg and H.E. Mr. Janelidze discussed topics related to regional security, developments along the Administrative Boundary Line, and the government’s engagement policies. In addition, the meeting covered items for the upcoming Geneva International Discussions.
Mr. Høeg underlined the effective functional cooperation between the EUMM and the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and other Georgian institutions, while the Minister highlighted the importance of Mission’s continuous monitoring activity, as a stabilising factor on the ground.
